We, the members of Beyond the Frame Society Inc., are a collective of Black men committed to culture, growth, and creativity. We cultivate spaces where new ideas and expressions thrive, and we affirm that our possibilities extend far beyond traditional expectations.
Every frame is a boundary someone else drew. Through social programming — gatherings, dialogue, service, and creative work — we step past those boundaries together. Membership is a commitment to show up for one another, for our community, and for the culture that shaped us.
We were built to be unique and inclusive to all. Whether you come to build, to learn, or to belong, there is a place for you here.
We honor where we come from and celebrate Black art, history, and tradition — while adding new chapters to it.
We sharpen each other. Mentorship, accountability, and honest brotherhood push every member forward.
We make room for new ideas and expressions to thrive — on the page, on the stage, in business, and in the community.
Beyond the Frame Society Inc. was founded on the campus of the University of West Georgia. We started it because there wasn't enough Black male engagement on campus — and we wanted to create something unique and inclusive to all, built around promoting the social engagement of Black men on campus.
It began as simply Beyond the Frame — just the logo on campus. We posted a couple of events, got the name out there, and watched a community start to form around it.
It started as a name and a logo on the University of West Georgia campus — a few events posted, the word spreading, and a community beginning to gather.
We incorporated under the State of Georgia and officially became Beyond the Frame Society Inc. — a recognized organization with a mission bigger than any one event.
Now we're working to spread to other campuses, bringing the same brotherhood, culture, and creativity to Black men wherever we grow.
